Character Counts

 

 

Hassayampa has adopted Character Counts!, a national framework that implements character 
education to our students. The framework is based on six pillars of character: 
 

  • Trustworthiness
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Fairness
  • Caring
  • Citizenship

 
Character education teaches these universally accepted values in order to motivate young people to incorporate them into their lives. Character education is non-partisan and non-religious.

Throughout the year, Hassayampa Elementary School will celebrate one pillar per month through morning messages, guidance lessons, and student recognition to be presented at Festival Friday and other honor events.
